Hi my name is Robert van Diest and i’ve been a fan and owner of custom cars and bikes for over 20 years. Over these years i’ve always been interested in the art of engraving but never thought about doing it myself as i am a social worker. My many trips to the US (visiting California car and bikeshows besides national parcs) helped grow my enthusiasm since engraving is and has been part of the history in the USA. Especially in the lowrider and bike culture but also in the gun and knive community.

A couple of years ago I made the decision to give it a go as I talked to people in the Dutch scene and how no one knew anybody that did this overhere. I had the opportunity to use a Lindsay engraving machine here in the Netherlands and i’ve been hooked ever since. I wanted to be good at what I do and therefore I travelled to the US again, but now for lessons in engraving. I had the chance to meet and stay with Master engraver David Riccardo at his house and learn the basics.

Since then I’ve been cutting away and improving my skills. I mainly work on aluminum, Steel and some Stainless but can also work on gold and silver. My main focus is motorcycle and car parts but I’m available for whatever project I can cut away on…………;-)
